Little Egypt
Little Egypt was a two bed cottage with a double pitched roof, next to a listed building, in a conservation area.
The family needed three bedrooms, an office/bedroom, a kitchen and extra living space.
Working with the planning and conservation officers to maintain the grain of the existing massing approval was finally granted for three small extensions.
The Kitchen extension was tight to a curved lane so an apse end was used to maximise the area.
This motif was repeated for the single storey garden room, which sits centrally within the garden, dividing public and private space.
